Red Strip Beer is Jamaica’s most famous Brew. We had a craving for a melted cheese platter night, so we decided to make a beer cheese dip using Red Stripe. The sauce is creamy and has a rich bold flavor, and quite easy to make.
3 tbs flour
1 cup of milk
8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
2/3 Red Stripe Beer
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dijon mustard
1/2 tsp liquid aminos or worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1-2 slices scotch bonnet pepper(optional)
Melt butter and flour together into a thick paste then add milk stir until the milk sauce thickens add beer and the other ingredients stir until the sauce is velvet and creamy.
I added scotch bonnet pepper for a little heat serve with pumpernickel bread Petzel sticks carrots sticks apple slices anything you like and enjoy!
